Aspect switcher
One key visual shown as a 4:3 desktop hero, a 1:1 social card and a 3:4 mobile hero, all at equal area, so switching reads as a crop rather than a resize.
Where it earns its place
Art-direction reviews and brand guidelines, or any product page that shows one asset across formats: ad sizes, device frames, export presets.
What we changed
- Recast as a Northstar Cloud art-direction review, with the export size of each format and a composed key visual instead of a photograph.
- The square the formats share is measured from the stage, so the equal-area arithmetic holds from the grid card to the full stage and on a phone.
- The frame moves on a framer spring with slight overshoot instead of a CSS bezier, and snaps instantly under reduced motion.
- Kept the three insights: equal area, width and height animated rather than scale so the corner stays true, and icons drawn at each format's real ratio.
- Kept the radio-group keyboard model: Tab reaches the control, arrows choose inside it, and one travelling thumb marks the choice.
