Where it earns its place

Generative features (hero images, product shots, thumbnails) where the wait should show honest progress without the layout jumping.

What we changed

  • Staged as the Aster OS case-study hero rendering inside a site frame, using the studio's own dark material still.
  • Removed the glint sweep and the shimmer; the only motion is the soft front that brings in each sharper level.
  • Capped canvas resolution at 1.5x, and the render loop sleeps once a stage's target is reached instead of running every frame.
  • Kept the core technique: pixel levels pre-rendered once, a feathered front revealing the next one, and a frame that never changes size.
