Where it earns its place

Icon toolbars, tech-stack rows, editor controls and dense dashboards, where people scan several icons in a row and a delay on every one would be a tax.

What we changed

• Shown on the studio's own stack row, each label pairing the tool with what it is used for on a Kinetiq project.
• Kept the group logic: a 400 ms cold delay, instant neighbours while warm, a 300 ms warm window after closing and an 80 ms grace across the gaps.
• Kept one surface for the whole group: position, width, height and arrow move on one spring, and the label slides in the direction of travel.
• Rendered inside the example instead of a portal on document.body, and dropped the document-level listeners, the long-press fuse and the shortcut badge.
• Opens instantly on keyboard focus and closes on Escape or blur; reduced motion places and swaps the surface without movement.
