Interaction
Undo fuse
Archive acts at once, then the button becomes Undo and its outline burns down as the time left to take it back.
Where it earns its place
Fast, reversible housekeeping in dashboards and client portals, where a confirm dialog would slow people down and no safety net would scare them.
What we changed
- Set in a Vellum Labs client portal with three real briefs, each row carrying its own fuse and restoring itself for the next visitor.
- Kept the original's subtle rule: hover pauses the fuse only after the pointer has left once, so the click that archived cannot freeze its own countdown.
- One button changes role instead of two stacked buttons, so focus never jumps; Escape undoes and a live region announces the window.
- The fuse is an SVG outline with pathLength 1 driven by one framer-motion value, so the dash length is literally the time left.
- Dropped the drop-shadow glow on the fuse and the hugeicons dependency; a flat champagne hairline carries it.
